E-Commerce Department

The E-Commerce Department is responsible for driving forward Chaucer's electronic trading strategy for Personal and Commercial Lines.  We work closely with trading partners and brokers, together with other internal teams to ensure Chaucer keeps pace with what is a continually changing electronic market.

Chaucer’s motor insurance products are predominantly transacted through Full Cycle EDI. Our E-Commerce Department is located at Prospect House and will assist intermediaries in scheme development and EDI arrangements.

To effectively support our broking partners' electronic trading requirements, the department comprises of two teams, managed by the Head of
E-Commerce, Ken Hutchinson.  Phil Hampton further supports the department as Technical E-Commerce Manager.

Development Team

Our Development Team is responsible for new scheme/product developments and variations to existing schemes, facilities or products.  They are also responsible for updating and distributing monthly changes relating to underwriting, documents and EDI. 

EDI Testing Team

Our EDI Testing Team is responsible for testing accuracy of internal and broker software systems for all existing live schemes, products and new developments.
